April 5, 2022 – Amazon Selects ULA, Arianespace, and Blue Origin to Launch More than 3,200 Kuiper Satellites

 COLORADO SPRINGS – Amazon ramped up its plans for its Kuiper constellation by signing a multi-launch deal on Tuesday with a large swath of the heavy lift launch industry. The company contracted United Launch Alliance (ULA), Arianespace, and Blue Origin to provide a combined 83 launches to send the majority of Amazon’s planned 3,236 Kuiper satellites into space. Speaking at the Space Symposium event in Colorado on Tuesday, Amazon Senior Vice President Dave Limp, who oversees Amazon Devices & Services, said the impetus for moving forward on these launch contracts was actually advancements in antenna technology.
