Position Overview The U.S. Systems Sales Representative will drive sales growth of Intlvac’s vacuum deposition and thin film systems across the United States. This role focuses on developing new business, managing existing accounts, and identifying opportunities in both R&D and production environments. The ideal candidate is a technical sales professional with experience selling capital equipment or complex scientific systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for assigned U.S. territories to achieve or exceed sales targets.
• Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities within research institutions, universities, and industrial sectors.
• Conduct detailed technical discussions with engineers, scientists, and purchasing teams to understand customer requirements.
• Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.
• Collaborate with Intlvac engineering and product teams to tailor system configurations to customer needs.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM records.
• Represent Intlvac at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer demonstrations.
• Provide regular market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and emerging technologies.
• Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through proactive communication and coordination with service and support teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in capital equipment or technical systems sales (vacuum,semiconductor, or coating systems preferred).
- Strong understanding of thin film processes such as PVD, sputtering, or ion beamdeposition.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing complex sales cycles.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and travel frequently across theU.S. (up to 50%).
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
